Complications of Rh Incompatibility

During Pregnancy
● Anemia- as RBCs breakdown excessively
● Fluid buildup- due to heart failure
● Jaundice- increased bilirubin in the body

To the Newborn
● Hemolytic disease of the newborn
● Kernicterus (bilirubin toxicity affecting the brain)
